## 📋 Overview

The WIA-DATA-009 Master Data Management (MDM) standard provides a comprehensive framework for managing, integrating, and governing critical business entities across enterprise systems. This standard defines data formats, APIs, protocols, and integration patterns for implementing interoperable MDM solutions.

**Philosophy**: 홍익인간 (弘益人間) (홍익인간) - Broadly Benefit All Humanity

## 🎯 Core Capabilities

### 🎯 Golden Record Creation
Create single, authoritative records from multiple data sources through intelligent matching and merging.

### 🔍 Entity Resolution
Intelligent matching and deduplication across disparate systems using fuzzy matching, ML algorithms, and business rules.

### 🔄 Data Synchronization
Real-time sync of master data across enterprise systems with conflict resolution and change tracking.

### 📊 Data Quality Rules
Enforce quality standards and validation rules on master data with automated monitoring and stewardship workflows.

### 🌳 Hierarchies & Relationships
Manage complex hierarchies and entity relationships including product hierarchies, organizational structures, and customer accounts.

### 🛡️ Data Governance Integration
Align with governance policies and stewardship workflows including audit trails, access controls, and compliance tracking.

## 🏗️ Architecture Patterns

The standard supports four primary MDM architectural patterns:

| Pattern | Description | Best For |
|---------|-------------|----------|
| **Registry Style** | Central index with references to source systems | Cross-referencing, lightweight MDM |
| **Consolidation Style** | Central repository stores golden records | Analytics, reporting, data warehousing |
| **Coexistence Style** | Master data managed centrally and synchronized | Hybrid environments, gradual adoption |
| **Transaction Style** | MDM hub drives operational processes | Real-time applications, e-commerce |
