우주법의 역사

현재 111개국이 비준한 우주법의 기본 틀이며, 다음과 같은 핵심 원칙을 담고 있습니다:

제2조는 "천체는 국가 전유(national appropriation)의 대상이 될 수 없다"고 명시합니다. 하지만 이것이 영토 주권을 금지한 것인지, 자원 채굴까지 금지한 것인지는 명확하지 않습니다.

달 협정 (1979년)

정식 명칭: "달과 기타 천체에서의 국가 활동을 규율하는 협정"

우주조약을 보완하기 위해 채택되었으나, 주요 우주 강국(미국, 러시아, 중국)이 비준하지 않아 실효성이 낮습니다. 비준국은 18개국에 불과합니다.
