## 🌟 Overview

The WIA-COMP-007 standard defines the framework for virtualization technology, including hypervisors, virtual machines, paravirtualization, hardware-assisted virtualization, and resource management. This standard enables efficient hardware utilization, workload isolation, and flexible infrastructure management.

**홍익인간 (弘益人間) - Benefit All Humanity** - This standard aims to democratize computing resources, enabling efficient utilization and accessibility of computing power for all.

## 🎯 Key Features

- **Hypervisor Types**: Type-1 (bare-metal) and Type-2 (hosted)
- **Hardware Virtualization**: Intel VT-x, AMD-V support
- **Memory Management**: Memory ballooning, page sharing, overcommit
- **I/O Virtualization**: SR-IOV, device emulation, paravirtual drivers
- **Live Migration**: Zero-downtime VM migration
- **Snapshot & Cloning**: VM state preservation and duplication
- **Resource Allocation**: CPU pinning, NUMA awareness, QoS
- **Nested Virtualization**: Hypervisors within VMs
- **GPU Virtualization**: vGPU, GPU passthrough
- **Network Virtualization**: Virtual switches, VLANs, overlays

## 📊 Core Concepts

### 1. Virtualization Architecture

```
Virtualization Stack:
┌──────────────────────────────────┐
│  Virtual Machine (Guest OS)      │
├──────────────────────────────────┤
│  Virtual Hardware Layer          │
├──────────────────────────────────┤
│  Hypervisor (VMM)                │
├──────────────────────────────────┤
│  Physical Hardware               │
└──────────────────────────────────┘
```

### 2. Hypervisor Types

| Type | Description | Examples | Use Case |
|------|-------------|----------|----------|
| Type-1 | Bare-metal | VMware ESXi, Xen, KVM | Production servers |
| Type-2 | Hosted | VirtualBox, VMware Workstation | Development, testing |

### 3. VM Lifecycle

```
States: Creating → Running → Paused → Stopped → Deleted
Operations:
- create: Provision VM
- start: Power on
- pause/resume: Suspend execution
- stop: Graceful shutdown
- snapshot: Save state
- clone: Duplicate VM
- migrate: Move to another host
```

## 🔧 Components

### TypeScript SDK

```typescript
import {
  createVM,
  manageVMLifecycle,
  configureResources,
  takeSnapshot,
  migrateVM
} from '@wia/comp-007';
// Create a virtual machine
const vm = await createVM({
  name: 'web-server-01',
  os: 'ubuntu-22.04',
  cpu: 4,
  memory: '8Gi',
  disk: '100Gi',
  network: 'bridged'
});
// Configure resources
await configureResources(vm.id, {
  cpu: { cores: 8, shares: 2048 },
  memory: { size: '16Gi', reservation: '8Gi' },
  disk: { iops: 3000 }
});
console.log(`VM ${vm.name} created with ID: ${vm.id}`);
```

### CLI Tool

```bash
# Create and start a VM
wia-comp-007 create --name web-vm --os ubuntu-22.04 --cpu 4 --memory 8Gi
# Start/stop VM
wia-comp-007 start web-vm
wia-comp-007 stop web-vm
# Take snapshot
wia-comp-007 snapshot create --vm web-vm --name backup-2025-12-27
# Live migration
wia-comp-007 migrate --vm web-vm --target-host host02.example.com
# List VMs
wia-comp-007 list
```
